Do you really Pinterest if you don’t have an inspirational quotes page? I’m not ashamed to say that I have one (mine is called “Words of Wisdom”…check it out) because I really do find ideas, quotes & words that truly inspire me. As a 20-something trying to navigate post-college life, sometimes you need those words to jump out at you from between the hair tutorials & the seemingly simple recipes that you pin, but will never make. You need the phrases written in that beautiful font to grab you by the shoulders & say “everything will be alright” or “just go for it”. Lately, I’ve been craving inspiration & through some deep Pinterest scrolling, I’ve found some words that have made me think, feel genuinely understood or just warm & fuzzy inside, so I thought I would share with you all.

^^ nothing truer was ever said. I’ve learned a lot moving away, making new friends & staying in touch these past four years. Relationships are a two way street & if you don’t see any traffic coming the other way, take a look at the map & rethink the route your taking.

^^ it sounds cheesy, but it’s true. You will only really see beauty in that mirror if you are completely yourself.

^^ I learned this one being president of my sorority. Even when you think no one’s watching, you’re still setting an example. Everything you do, big & small, is changing someone’s perception & impression of you & influences the standards they set for themselves!

^^ send out the vibes you want to find in the people that surround you.

^^ yes, yes, yes. That little extra effort in the morning can go a long way. Dressing well for anything, from a casual lunch to coffee shows that you respect yourself & the other person. It’s like saying “hey, I care about you & this meet up”. Besides, you never know who you’ll run into or what opportunities may come up…I always like to be ready for anything & never want what I’m wearing to dictate what I can & can’t do!

^^ repeating this mantra in my head lately. In transition periods like the one I am in now, nothing is certain & I don’t have much direction…but that is because I have endless possibilities. It’s really a blessing, but sometimes it can feel like a curse. However, I just keep telling myself that possibilities mean that anything is possible.
