What’s Up Wednesday
8 years ago / in Bliss
Don’t call it a comeback. Call it…I’ve been crazy busy & haven’t blogged in forever.
So, because it’s Wednesday, what better way to jump back into it than with the revival of What’s Up Wednesday?
1. I’m a working girl.
The biggest reason I have been slacking on the blogging front is because I am hard at work most of the time! I’ve been working at my local Anthropologie for a little over a month now, but in that short time, I’ve been doing a lot more than what you’d expect in a typical retail position. Anthropologie, as a whole, is a lot more than what it appears to be on the surface. Behind the scenes are the creatives & creators that work tirelessly to make the Anthropologie experience truly unique. In the past month alone, I have had the privilege of working with our Display Coordinator to create our latest store window:
^^ please excuse the glare from the window in these pictures…they’re really not doing the display enough justice.
It was so amazing to be a part of the whole process & watch our hard work slowly come together from concepts & raw materials, to a finished product. I carved, sanded, canvased, hot glued & plastered my little heart out, but it was so worth it walking by this beautiful window & into work everyday.
I have also been able to contribute to our store’s Instagram, putting outfits together & trying to channel my inner Gigi Hadid in front of the camera:

Working at Anthropologie is not only a job, but a creative outlet & a space where I can pursue my passion & find inspiration. We are always looking for new team members, so if you’re at all interested or want to work with yours truly, apply today!
2. It’s hockey season.
Yes, the Vancouver Canucks are back in action & all we want to see this season is some signs of improvement. It’s discouraging going to games & watching our team lose over & over…although the beer & grilled cheese do help. We are going to the game tonight, so I will report back on how the boys are doing.
3. Piper’s old.
Yup, Piper turned 15 this past week & she is now, by dog standards, ancient. Her hobbies include sleeping, walking blindly around the house, getting lost in the curtains & sleeping. All jokes aside though, she really is a trooper & we still love her…even though she has, if possible, become crazier with age. At least nowadays the insanity comes in bouts, which gives us time to recover in between, but that’s what makes her one of a kind & I don’t know what we’ll do without her.
4. I WAS WRAPPING A MUG.
If you follow me on Twitter, then you already know, but yes…I was busy wrapping a mug when the actor, Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy was apparently in the store. I didn’t find out until after he left & if you can’t tell, I am just a little upset about it.
Hannah Jane
Just a girl sharing the baubles she loves & the bliss she experiences!
