You know those Facebook events you stumble across & think, “hey, this looks interesting…maybe I’ll go”. I have more than once clicked interested for an event, but not actually gone. However, this weekend I defied my Pinterest-like habits on Facebook & actually went to a local event. The lucky winner turned out to be Artists & Fleas in Venice!

This past weekend was the grand opening of Artists & Fleas second location in Venice on Abbot Kinney. With over 100 vendors selling everything from vintage clothing to succulents, there was something for everyone…

^^ we were obsessed with these balloons. The company was called “Crassholes” & we may or may not have bought several balloons that read “You’s a Ho.”

After getting our fill of the artists & fleas, we decided to grab some lunch at the always delicious “Gjelina”. I had my birthday lunch here & it was so good that we had to go back. However, we were stopped on the way by some amazing looking donuts & we couldn’t resist spoiling our appetites…upon reflection, my mum believes that they are the best donuts she’s ever had.

Artists & Fleas Venice will be open on the first & fourth Saturday of every month, but even if you can’t make it, there’s always something to do, see or eat in Venice!
